About this crossing

Pharr is the Valley's cargo bridge first and a car crossing second: commercial traffic runs long daily schedules, while northbound passenger service exists only in narrow windows — weekday mornings 6 to 8 and afternoons 4 to 6, longer on weekend evenings. Check the schedules below before treating a live number as an invitation.

Tolls

operator schedule; collection direction not verified

The City of Pharr's schedule (checked 29 August 2026) — collection direction not verified; confirm with the operator: car, motorcycle or noncommercial truck US$5, or US$4.75 with the AVI account · commercial US$16.25–US$30.25 by axle count (AVI slightly less) · two-axle motorhome US$15 · wide load US$45 · salvage vehicle US$150 · hazardous materials carry substantially higher class rates. AVI and ticket booklets are toll products — neither is FAST.

The small-truck exception

Small empty or short trucks, including tankers without trailers, are separately authorized through the passenger lane on weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. when the user fee is paid.

Quick answers

Can passenger cars enter the United States at Pharr all day?

No — northbound passenger service runs only in published windows: weekdays 6–8 a.m. and 4–6 p.m., weekends 6–8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to nearly midnight. Outside them, use McAllen–Hidalgo, open 24 hours.

What are Pharr's commercial hours?

Both directions run long weekday schedules with tighter weekends — the exact windows are in the panel above. The trap is Sunday: northbound cargo ends at 4 p.m. and southbound at 3 p.m., the week's earliest closes.

Does Pharr have SENTRI or Ready Lane?

No SENTRI — but Ready, yes: CBP reports truck General and FAST waits, plus car General and Ready readings within the passenger windows. For a SENTRI car lane use Hidalgo or Anzalduas.
