This is a privately owned toll bridge. Aazhogan Limited Partnership — a partnership between Rainy River First Nations and the BMI Group — bought the U.S. side in May 2021 and completed its purchase of the Canadian side on 20 May 2022, giving it full ownership of the crossing.

Crossing on foot or by bike
Pedestrians and cyclists use the separate steel railway bridge, not the road span. The owner describes that steel bridge as closed to vehicles and open to both non-motorised modes for the foreseeable future.
