Compare the crossings

The San Diego–Tijuana corridor links San Diego, California with Tijuana, Baja California. Four traveller crossings sit within a few miles of each other: San Ysidro for cars, buses and pedestrians between central San Diego and downtown Tijuana; PedWest, the western pedestrian building on the same crossing; Otay Mesa to the east for cars, pedestrians and the corridor’s commercial freight; and Cross Border Xpress, the ticketed bridge for Tijuana Airport passengers. A freight-rail alignment also crosses here, with no traveller access, and a sixth facility, Otay Mesa East, is under construction and not yet open.
