The Starr–Camargo bridge links Rio Grande City with Camargo, its gate open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day including holidays — with cargo bound by two further schedules: the U.S. import lot and Mexico's Aduana de Camargo, each with its own days and hours.

The bridge
Privately operated since 1966 by the Starr-Camargo Bridge Company, at 250 Pete Diaz Avenue. A 2024 federal law authorizes expansion by added lanes or a rail line on a multi-decade horizon — an authorization, not construction.

The gate closes at 11 p.m. daily, holidays included — but cargo runs on two narrower calendars, the U.S. import lot's and Aduana de Camargo's, and 11 p.m. is not a cargo deadline. Check all three schedules above before an evening or weekend run.
Does Starr–Camargo have SENTRI or Ready Lane?
No — CBP reports only General waits at Starr–Camargo, for cars and trucks alike, and Roma, the corridor's other bridge, publishes the same two categories. The Valley's SENTRI and Ready car waits are reported at Hidalgo and Anzalduas in the McAllen corridor.
Can pedestrians cross at Starr–Camargo?
Not verified. The tariff carries a US$1 pedestrian class, but a price row is not eligibility, and CBP reports no pedestrian capacity here. Call the bridge at 956-487-2850 before planning to walk.
