The Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority, a New York State public benefit corporation, has run the crossing since it opened in 1960. It connects NY-37 with Highways 416 and 401; Highway 416 is the direct route toward Ottawa.

Quick answers

Is the bridge open 24 hours?

Yes. CBP lists Ogdensburg as open 24 hours a day. From 25 March through 21 November 2026, however, the bridge is under one-lane traffic control for paving and repairs, with temporary width, height and weight restrictions. Large-vehicle drivers should check the current OBPA notice before setting out.

Is there a commuter discount?

Frequent drivers can buy a Green Card for 20 one-way crossings over six months, at $52.00 USD or $69.25 CAD; a Yellow Card for 60 crossings over six months, at $156.00 USD or $208.00 CAD; or a Red Card for 75 crossings over two months, at $195.00 USD or $260.00 CAD.

The 2026 construction restriction

The posted limits are temporary construction rules, not the bridge’s permanent rating. OBPA is using one-lane traffic control for paving and repairs. Check the current notice or call (315) 393-4080 before a large-vehicle trip, especially near the stated November end date.

Tolls

Trucks are billed by axle: from $6.75 USD or $9.00 CAD for OBPA’s Class 2 large two-axle truck to $20.75 USD or $27.75 CAD for ten axles, then $1.75 USD or $2.25 CAD for each additional axle. The bus toll is $6.75 USD or $9.00 CAD.

Commercial customers can prepay a Blue Truck Card for roughly a 10% discount. For booth-payment questions, call OBPA’s Administrative Building on (315) 393-4080.
