The bridge
The 1967 structure runs about 2,035 feet — four road lanes and two sidewalks — owned and operated on the U.S. side by the City of Del Rio, linking Spur 239 with Ciudad Acuña's roads toward Mexico 29. The City also runs 24/7 bridge video — a view of traffic, not a wait number.

Can I use the Amistad Dam crossing instead?
Only in a narrow case: Amistad takes passenger cars only — no pedestrians, no trucks — normally 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., has no live wait record, and closes for long maintenance spells, so call CBP at 830-774-4345 before relying on it. This bridge is the region's 24-hour, all-modes crossing.
