CBP calls this facility “Champlain I87/A15”; CBSA calls the matching office “St-Bernard-de-Lacolle: Highway 15”, at 501 Highway 15 in Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle. It is the Interstate 87 / Autoroute 15 crossing.
Yes. The Interstate 87/Autoroute 15 crossing tracked on this page is open 24 hours a day, every day. That schedule does not apply to the four smaller facilities managed by the same Champlain port office, so verify the individual hours before diverting from the interstate.
U.S.-bound, yes: CBP reports dedicated NEXUS service at Champlain, along with a FAST lane for approved commercial traffic. Canada-bound, the Highway 15 NEXUS lane is closed during construction and CBSA directs members to a temporary lane at Lacolle Route 221, so the two directions are not equivalent.
Not ordinarily if the vehicle exceeds CBSA’s current construction limits. Canada-bound commercial vehicles with trailers over 5 m (16.4 ft) high, 2.6 m (8.5 ft) wide or 16.1 m (53 ft) long must use another designated commercial border office. CBSA says road trains at those dimensions remain authorised, so confirm before relying on that exception.
CBSA directs affected trucks to Lacolle Route 221 beside Overton Corners, or to another designated commercial office. Commercial service at Route 221 runs Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm. For an unusual load, call the CBSA commercial section on (450) 246-8145 ext. 4 before setting out.
The Champlain port office also runs four separate facilities under port 0712. Mooers is open around the clock; Overton Corners runs 6:00 am–10:00 pm; Rouses Point runs 8:00 am–8:00 pm; and Cannon Corners runs 8:00 am–4:00 pm, all seven days a week.
