About this crossing
The single-lane La Linda bridge — 382 feet, built 1963, at the end of FM 2627 east of Big Bend — has been closed to through traffic since 30 July 1997, with no reopening activity reported. It was never an ordinary port: TxDOT records that no U.S. land port of entry existed here even when the bridge operated. Periodic ecotourism proposals have not established any legal service. The region's legal crossings are Boquillas (in the national park, Friday–Monday) and the Presidio road bridge.
