Aldergrove–Lynden joins BC Highway 13 to Washington State Route 539, also called Guide Meridian Road, between Aldergrove, British Columbia and Lynden, Washington. CBSA names its office “Aldergrove”; CBP calls the U.S. facility the Kenneth G. Ward Port of Entry.
No. Aldergrove–Lynden is open from 8:00 am to midnight Pacific Time every day, in both directions. It is the only one of this corridor’s five crossings that is not open around the clock. Between midnight and 8:00 am the gate is shut, no lane is staffed and no wait is published.
The Canada-bound NEXUS lane runs from noon to 8:00 pm daily, only half of the port’s sixteen-hour day. Outside that window, members entering Canada use the regular lanes. Neither agency publishes a separate U.S.-bound NEXUS schedule; CBP’s feed reports that lane only while the port itself is open.
The U.S. General Services Administration has proposed rebuilding the Lynden port with more lanes and possible 24-hour operation. That proposal has not changed today’s gate hours.
As of GSA’s 5 August 2026 update, both the construction start and completion dates were still listed as “TBD”. Plan from the operating span in the facts panel unless the agencies publish a change.
